My hometown is a small village. There are about one thousand inhabitants. Most of them are farmers. Their lifestyle is simple, but they have already possessed TV sets and refrigerators. They have made up their minds to live a modern life.
Body
The environment in my hometown is so clean. There are so many trees around me, and the water is so clean that I can even see fish swimming. Sometimes I will go boating with my friends in the small river. I enjoy the birds singing in the mountain.
Changes Over Time
But in the old days, it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life. Since 1949, my hometown was liberated. Since then, great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas, and theaters have sprung up one after another. The life of the people has greatly improved.
Conclusion
I love my hometown and no matter where I go, it is always on my mind.
